✒Author’s Profile

Hey, I’m Nikesh. I’m a productivity influencer, researcher, and singer-songwriter.

2005 – 2018

I was born in Dhading Bensi, Nepal, in 2005. I spent my early years in Dhading, attending Dhading Boarding Secondary School. In 2018, my family moved to Kathmandu, where I continued my studies at Kantipur English Academy and later at Southwestern School.

At 11, I started singing at school events, and by 12, I had begun writing songs. I learned to play the guitar at 13, drums at 14, and keyboard at 17. My early musical influences included Ed Sheeran, Sajjan Raj Vaidya, Samir Shrestha, and One Direction. My older brother, Ayush Lagun, was a big inspiration for my creativity.

2018 – 2022

I continued my education in Kathmandu and completed my schooling in 2022. I actively performed at school events and refined my musical skills during this time. Music became my primary form of self-expression, and I started experimenting with songwriting and composition.

Started stage performances as instrumentalists.

2022 – 2024

After finishing school, I joined St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar, for my Plus Two (high school). During my high school years, my interest in research developed. Encouraged by my teachers, I began independently studying various academic topics.

In 2023, I published my first research paper, Observation of Dominant and Recessive Character in Humans, which became the most-read article from my institution (SXC). As I delved deeper into research, I explored societal issues and educational policies, leading to Evaluating Variation in School Dropout Rates in Rural Nepal: A Statistical Study. That same year, I also researched neurotrauma and published a Study of the Effects of Different Mechanical Mishaps or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) on Brain Regions: A Review.

Alongside my research, I remained passionate about music, releasing Timi Ra Ma and Mayalu while also featuring in Ekasi Timi and Bhagi Jaun.

During this period, I also developed a keen interest in productivity, time management, and personal growth. In 2024, I launched Weekly Productivity Pulse, a newsletter where I share strategies with over three thousand students to help them improve their focus and manage their time effectively.
